Crusaders stay unbeaten...2-0 in Bracket

Behind an excellent performance from Sophomore right-hander Ryan Woodring, North Greenville defeated the top seed on their side of the bracket by a final of 4-2.

After playing at Legacy field yesterday, this was the Crusaders first game back at Prasco Park since their extra inning victory in last year's National Championship Game.

In order to play for their second straight title, North Greenville will need to emerge from their side of the tournament bracket with the best overall record. They are tied for that honor right now with King College...both teams are 2-0.

North Greenville faces The Masters College today at 4:30. If NGU wins this game, which will be pitched by Mike Benjamin, they control their own destiny. If Masters hands the Crusaders their first loss, things will then get real interesting...

                             #6 North Greenville  2-0
                            #10 King College      2-0
                            #7 Masters College    1-1
                            # 3 Mount Vernon     0-2
                            #2 Judson University  0-3

Masters is set to play Mount Vernon at Prasco in mere moments.
The results of this game will further clarify exactly what NGU will need to do in order to make the Championship Series.

If the Crusaders can find a way to keep winning, what everyone else does will be a mute point...I know this is their plan, and though this is a highly competitive tournament, they are looking good so far. I will keep you posted throughout the day...
