The members of North Greenville's Baseball team are making the trip back to the Upstate of South Carolina today with hopes that their season is not over. They still seek the chance to defend their Title as reigning NCCAA National Champions.
In terms of Baseball, the Crusaders--especially the teams key Senior leaders- now sit idle and await a phone call which would give them the opportunity to suit up and hit the diamond for one more round of college baseball competition in 2011.
The announcement concerning the potential at-large bid will come sometime tomorrow evening. We will most certainly let you know as soon as we have any information related to it. Sources both inside and outside the NGU camp confirm that North Greenville is in the final conversations for a bid and as defending champs stand a very good chance of receiving one.
If the call does come, the Crusaders will head out first thing Monday morning for Prasco Park in Cincinnati, Ohio en route to their second consecutive NCCAA College World Series. Tournament games will be played Wednesday through Saturday May 18-21st.
